Z-Peller DemonstrationWhat exactly makes our tugs so special, well, it is the revolutionary Z-Peller system. SCT is
the
first tug operator in Hong Kong that operate a fleet of all Z-Peller
tugboats. This system enables our tugmasters to carry out precise and
instant response to the instructions given either by the master or the
pilot of the assisted vessels. This means a smooth and fast operation
which can only save valuable time and money in the long run. This state
of the art of propulsion system can give full thrust in any directions
and unlike other system on conventional tugs. Z-Peller tug can operate
almost full efficient in either towing or pushing mode whereas
conventional tugs operate only around 60% efficiency when pulling
astern. This is achieved by unique design which allows the propeller
unit to independently rotate on the vertical axis through 360 degrees
thereby allowing full power to engage in whatever directions the tug
